Daily Panchang

Daily Panchang Panchang is a ancient Vedic astrological almanac and it is the official astrological calendar of practicing Hindus. A typical Panchangam has five main elements. They are Tithi (Date), Vara (days of the week), Nakshatra (Group of stars), Yog/Yoga (an auspicious moment) and Karan (Half of the part of Tithi). A Panchangam helps you synchronise with your best days and times - ahead of time. More accurate than conventional horoscopes, it has many practical uses like: love, travel, money, work and much more!

Gulik-kaal, Rahu-kaal & Yamagandam - Timing For Success

Gulik-Kaal is the not inauspicious time period of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes duration every day of the week ruled by Saturn. However, 'Gulik Kaal' is considered a good period to undertake any new projects or to start any important work. Also known as Gulika - blossoming time- any activity in this period has positive, good and growth-oriented results and gives happiness. One positive aspect, Gulika, is to be preferred for timing activities wherever possible. The 'Gulika' and its order vary from day to day.

Rahu-Kala is one of the 8 segments of the day and considered inauspicious period in Indian astrology due to its associated with malefic, Rahu . Every day this Rahukaalam lasts for around 90 minutes are inauspicious periods and one should not undertake any auspicious work during these periods - especially any new undertaking. Also known as Rahu-kaalam - time of the snake or Dragon's Head - any activity or journey away (short or long distance) started during this time is bound to meet a significant degree of failure, lack of success or postponement. To Counteract Rahu kaalam:

  • Avoid commencing important, money-related or travel activities, during this time.
  • Leave your current location or have your meeting, or start your activity earlier than or after the Rahu-Kaal period.

Time of Rahu-kaal depends on the weekday and the Sunrise time of that day. That is why Rahukaal will be different all across the globe for any given day.

Yamagandam is also similar to rahu kaal and considered as the inauspicious time by Hindus. Any activity started during this time as its name indicates, brings about 'death' of the work or energies involved with the work, which would simply mean it would bring about unfavourable results. It is said that these timings are ideal for worship. So during that time we will be thinking of worship and nothing else we will be doing in that time. If these time periods are used for worship and not for material activities, they yield manifold spiritual benefits. To Counteract Yamagandam:

  • Avoid commencing important, money-related or travel activities, during this time.
  • Leave your current location or have your meeting, or start your activity earlier than or after the Yamagandam time.
